Call for Nominations
2025-2026 OATE Teacher Educator Award
Celebrate a teacher educator who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to mentoring, teaching, and inspiring the next generation of teachers.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Serves as a faculty member, supervisor, or instructor in a teacher preparation program
- Demonstrates excellence in teaching, mentorship, and student support
- Contributes to the advancement of teacher education through innovation or research
- Actively engages in collaboration with schools, communities, or educational partners
Who can nominate: Nominations may be submitted by any member of the teacher education community.
Nomination Submission Process:
- A nomination letter addressed to the OATE selection committee (maximum two single-space pages) describing how the nominee demonstrates excellence in teaching based on the award criteria described above.
- A statement of teaching philosophy from the nominee (maximum two single-spaced pages)
Nomination Deadline: April 20. 2026
