Call for Nominations
OATE Student Teacher of the Year Award Fall, 2025
Who is eligible:
Teacher candidates who are completing their student teaching during Fall, 2025 and have demonstrated substantial effectiveness as a future educator are eligible to be nominated for the award. Nominees should demonstrate professionalism, success at building positive relationships with students and staff, and demonstrate innovation and effectiveness in instructional practices.
Who can nominate:
Nominations may be submitted by any member of the teacher education community.
Nomination Submission Process:
- A nomination letter addressed to the OATE selection committee (maximum two single-spaced pages) describing how the nominee demonstrates excellence in teaching based on the award criteria described above.
- A statement of teaching philosophy from the nominee (maximum two single-spaced pages)
Nomination Deadline: December 1, 2025
